The City’s open-air celebration was an opportunity for families and residents to come out in their numbers to enjoy local performing artists and fun activities.</p> | <span><p>‘Siyayithanda iMfuleni, it was a joy to celebrate 50 years of this special community together with residents. Mfuleni means river, and what I’m really proud about is the river of infrastructure investment we are pouring into this community right now. </p><p>‘The future here is only getting brighter with a brand new sports field among various sporting facility upgrades in the broader area, an upgraded fire station, over 2 000 houses and serviced sites in the pipeline across four housing projects, and major public transport interchange upgrades to the tune of R100m over three years,’ said Mayor Hill-Lewis.<br></p>
