bus rides for commuters from Hout Bay, Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha for
those wanting to attend the switching on of the festive lights on Sunday, 27
November 2022. </span></em></strong><br></p> | <p></p><p>'The switching on of the festive lights in Adderley Street in the Cape Town central business district is a spectacular occasion marking the beginning of the festive season. This year will be extra special as life is returning to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic when we did not have the freedom to get together in big groups. We know this event is extremely popular, and will add late night buses for residents travelling from Hout Bay and the metro-south east,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.</p><p> </p><p>The last bus trips will depart at 23:15 from either the Civic Centre station, or the station in Adderley Street. </p><p> </p><p><strong>The details are as follows:</strong></p><p><strong>D01 Khayelitsha East – Civic Centre</strong></p><p>Last bus from Kuyasa towards the Civic Centre departing at 22:23</p><p>Last bus from the Civic Centre towards Kuyasa departing at 23:15</p><p> </p><p><strong>D02 Khayelitsha West – Civic Centre</strong></p><p>Last bus from Kuyasa towards the Civic Centre departing at 21:44</p><p>Last bus from the Civic Centre towards Kuyasa departing at 23:15</p><p> </p><p><strong>D04 Kapteinsklip – Civic Centre</strong></p><p>Last bus from Kapteinsklip towards the Civic Centre departing at 21:59</p><p>Last bus from the Civic Centre towards Kapteinsklip departing at 23:15</p><p> </p><p><strong>118 Hangberg – Hout Bay Harbour – Sea Point – Adderley</strong></p><p>Last bus from Hangberg towards Adderley station departing at 21:53</p><p>Last bus from Adderley station towards Hangberg departing at 23:15</p><p> </p><p>'I encourage families to hop on the bus and enjoy the evening's celebrations.
