This means that the planned maintenance for 20 February 2024 is no longer taking place as all required work has been completed in this part of Lansdowne. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the critical maintenance was carried out. <br></p> | <p>City Electricity teams have completed the first part of the infrastructure maintenance in Lansdowne on 13 February 2024. The planned maintenance and supply interruption scheduled for Tuesday, 20 February 2024 is no longer required, as the work has been completed. </p><p><strong>Residents are advised that their area will be returned to regular load-shedding now that the maintenance is completed.</strong></p><p>Please remember that the planned infrastructure maintenance for March 2024 in Lansdowne is going ahead as scheduled, weather permitting. The City will restore the electricity supply, using the supply from the immediate surrounding areas, to the affected area to reduce any potential interruptions to residents.</p><p><strong>If </strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>supply interruptions are experienced</strong></span><strong> during the planned maintenance:</strong></p><p>The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.</p><p><strong>Some news channels are implying this work is affecting all areas in the city.
