It is expected that this work will be completed in February 2025 provided there are no unforeseen delays. <br></p> | <p>‘I am quite pleased with the progress I saw today; the construction of a new road layer is going well, the culvert extension at the golf course is now completed and there is also some headway with the retaining wall. I cannot thank road users and residents enough for their patience and support while we are doing this very important work to improve our road network. I am certain that we are all looking forward to the day when we can use the new lanes, and the difference it will make in easing traffic congestion once the work is completed early 2025,’ said Councillor Rob Quintas, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility.<br></p><div>Motorists and pedestrians are reminded of the temporary closure of Pandoer Street, between Jip de Jager Drive and Kommandeur Street, in Welgemoed, Bellville.
