Among others, it proposes some R4,8 bn in social support.<br></p> | <p>'The proposed budget of R76,4 bn, includes a record R12,1bn capital expenditure for the 2024/25 financial year, surpassing even World Cup spend. It also contains some R4,8 bn in social support for pensioners and residents who qualify for assistance. The support has been steadily increasing by approximately R1 bn since the 2022/23 financial year. We encourage all residents to comment on your budget and to have your say.
