City's cleaning team delivers same-day service
A clean-up of an exposed stormwater culvert adjoining a Durbanville resident’s home after the City received a request from the home owner to attend to an accumulation of illegally dumped litter. Thanks to the quick response of the City’s Transport for Cape Town (TCT) works team, the problem was resolved on the same day despite inclement weather conditions.

The resident initially reported the problem in person and City officials then logged a C3 notification, which alerted the relevant line department that a response team was required. By using the C3 system, a reference number was created that allowed the resident to track progress. The C3 notification system ensures that the City is able to coordinate its service delivery efforts and to give residents an easy way of following up on their requests.

‘I am pleased that the resident’s request for cleaning was able to be resolved so promptly, and I commend the TCT works team for its sterling effort. It’s dedication like this that shows the City is serious about service delivery,’ said Cllr Gerhard Fourie of Subcouncil 7.

Residents can contact the City's call centre on 0860 103 089 to log a service delivery call.
2016-06-19T22:00:00ZGP0|#e3c03ac1-845c-4119-815d-e796340463ba;L0|#0e3c03ac1-845c-4119-815d-e796340463ba|Community news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891dGP0|#1596e104-b1e8-47f6-9db5-263896676e0a;L0|#01596e104-b1e8-47f6-9db5-263896676e0a|subcouncil;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#a33ad8c8-56f3-4de4-b0bd-af95fb899e66;L0|#0a33ad8c8-56f3-4de4-b0bd-af95fb899e66|transport for cape town;GP0|#612316e4-3a3e-4217-9200-bb541a955d7d;L0|#0612316e4-3a3e-4217-9200-bb541a955d7d|Area cleaning1
