Human Settlements Directorate is providing feedback directly to communities on
housing projects and plans for their areas. Today, 24 November 2022, the City
visited Subcouncil Seven in Morningstar and assisted residents with their
housing related queries. </span></em></strong><br></p> | <p></p><span><p>Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Malusi Booi visited the Subcouncil Seven Roadshow event where different departments within the Human Settlements Directorate assisted residents.</p><p> </p><p>Subcouncil Seven is the City's biggest subcouncil and consists of five wards in the northern agricultural area in the metro. Wards 21, 70, 103, 105 and 112 fall within this subcouncil.<br></p>

The City has a number of existing projects under way in the various wards and we provided an update on service delivery improvements to residents. </p><p> </p><p>'Human Settlement officials assisted a number of residents with their City housing-related matters and we look forward to assisting many more residents who need help in the weeks and months to come,' said Councillor Booi.<br></p>

Grant funding spend is an incredibly important indicator of service delivery and a pro-poor focus as it is earmarked for the most vulnerable communities, for human settlements and basic services. </p>
