City to perform maintenance on road traffic signs in Mitchells PlainCity to perform maintenance on road traffic signs in Mitchells Plain<img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/PublishingImages/Development%20charges%20Header.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /><p>​<strong><em><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"century gothic", sans-serif;">The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate will perform maintenance on traffic signs at various major and minor arterial road intersections in the Mitchells Plain area, including local roads in Tafelsig and Portlands. Work is set to commence on Thursday, 3 November 2022 and is expected to conclude by Wednesday, 30 November 2022 </span></em></strong><br></p><p>​</p><p>The maintenance work is planned to take place on weekdays between 07:30 and 17:00 to limit the impact on road users.</p><p> </p><p>The work comprises the maintenance of guidance and directional signs at various intersections in the Mitchells Plain area, and will include the installation of various regulatory and warning signs at local roads in Tafelsig and Portlands.</p><p> </p><p>The following intersections are due to undergo maintenance work:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Eisleben Road and Highlands Drive</li><li>AZ Berman Drive and Highlands Drive</li><li>Swartklip Road and Highlands Drive</li><li>Jakes Gerwel Drive and Morgenster Road</li><li>Morgenster Road and Weltevreden Parkway </li><li>Eisleben Road and Morgenster Road</li><li>Mogenster Road and Merrydale Avenue</li><li>AZ Berman Drive and Morgenster Road</li><li>Swartklip Road and Morgenster Road</li><li>Weltevreden Road and Wespoor Drive</li><li>Wespoort Drive and Park Avenue</li><li>Wespoort Drive and Merrydale Avenue</li><li>AZ Berman and Imperial Road</li><li>Swartklip Road and Imperial Road</li><li>Weltevreden Road and Spine Road</li><li>Spine road and Merrydale Road</li><li>Baden Powell Drive and Eisleben Road</li><li>Swartklip Road and Tafelberg Street</li><li>Swartklip Road and Steve Biko Road</li></ul><p> </p><p>'We ask that the community please cooperate with our team on the ground while the project is ongoing.
