roads in Kewtown, Silvertown and Bridgetown on Monday, 31 October 2022.
Residents can expect the works to continue until Friday, 10 February 2023,
pending unforeseen delays and inclement weather. </span></em></strong><br></p> | <p>The work is planned to take place on weekdays between 07:00 and 17:30. There will be a construction break over the December festive season.</p><p> </p><p>The following roads will undergo upgrades:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Calendula Road (Dual Carriageway) between Klipfontein Road and Dr Abdurahman Avenue</li><li>Lower Klipfontein Road between Calendula Road and Lower Klipfontein Road (at crescent intersection)</li><li>Zinnia Road between Lower Klipfontein Road and Overton Road</li><li>Springbok Road between Hickory Street and Calendula Road</li><li>Appledene Road between Calendula Road and Blossom Street</li><li>Loerie Road between Cornflower Street and Blossom Street Street<br></li><li>Cornflower Street (dual carriageway) between Sycamore Way and Loerie Road</li><li>Lilac Street between Static Square and Dr Abdurahman Avenue</li><li>Eland Street at Dr Abdurahman Community Health Clinic between Spruce Street and Cactus Street</li><li>Dr Abdurahman Avenue at Dr Abdurahman Community Health Clinic between Eland Street and Larkspur Road</li><li>Tarentaal Road at Star College School between Heide Street and Akasia Avenue</li><li>Valk Road at Bridgeville Primary School between Tarentaal Road and Kiwiet Road</li></ul><p> </p><p>In addition, several sidewalks will be resurfaced and additional sidewalks and parking embayments will be constructed.</p><p> </p><p>'We ask that the community please cooperate with our team on the ground while the project is ongoing. We would like to resurface these roads to provide residents in the area with a safe and smooth road surface. We have measures in place to help direct residents during the construction period and we urge all road users to please comply,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas. </p><p> </p><p>The City's Road Infrastructure Management Department will be milling out the existing road surfacing and replacing it with a new asphalt road surface.
