City takes services to Tafelsig, Athlone and Hout Bay<p>​The details of the visit are as follows:<br></p><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Wednesday, 24 April 2024, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Thusong Centre/Nelson Mandela Youth Centre, 2 Pyrenees Street, Tafelsig</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Thursday, 25 April 2024, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Dulcie September Civic Centre, Cnr Protea and Eland Streets, Athlone</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Friday, 26 April 2024, from 09:30 to 13:30 at Hangberg Multipurpose Centre, Karbonkel Road, Hout Bay Harbour</div><div><br></div><div>The departments that will be present at Thusong Centre in Tafelsig are:</div><div><br></div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Human Resources: for enquiries about bursaries, internships and apprenticeships</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Social Development: to find out how you can get involved</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Finance: for all enquiries about municipal accounts</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Health: for more about primary health care services</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Safety and Security: for information about traffic and law enforcement services</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>EPWP: will assist jobseekers and unemployed youth to register on the jobseekers database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities</div><div><br></div><div>For Athlone and Hout Bay, the City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically. Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries. To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.</div><div><br></div><div>‘Taking the City’s services to the communities of Tafelsig, Athlone and Hout Bay is the City’s way of showing that we are actually committed to bringing services to residents and to make local government more accessible to all.
