City starts with road resurfacing in Blackheath<span><p style="text-align:justify;">The following roads will be resurfaced over the next two months: </p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Buitenzor Road (Between house No. 11 and Malabar Crescent)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Wanderer Close (From Buitenzor Rd to the dead end)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Bellona Close (From Malabar Crescent to the Dead end)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Vineyard Avenue (From Valley Road to Buttskop Road)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Valley Road (From Vineyard Avenue to Briar Avenue)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Meadow Road (From Vineyard Avenue to House No.5 on Meadow Road) and( From house No. 68 Meadow Road to Madelaine Street)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Drakenstein Road (From Albert Philander to Franschhoek Road)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Franschhoek Road (From Drakenstein Road to house No. 21 Franschhhoek Road)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Madelaine Street (from house No. 58 Madelaine Street to Petro Road)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Robert Street (From Rodger Street to Ernest Street )</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Rodger Street (House No. 7 Rodger Street to House No. 17 Rodger Street)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Bobby Street (From Rodger to the dead end)</p><p style="text-align:justify;">•       Petro Road (From Madelaine Street to the dead end) <br></p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Images%202/Plan%202.png" class="responsive" alt="" style="width:821px;" /> </figure>​​</span><span><p style="text-align:justify;">The roadworks are planned to take place from today, 2 May 2024 until Friday, 28 June 2024, between 07:30 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Work may also be scheduled over weekends should the need arise. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">'Resurfacing maintenance on these roads will prolong the longevity of the road network in Blackheath. Road users are to please be cautious while work is under way by looking out for uneven road surfaces and being mindful of the construction workers on site. The road will then be replaced with a new layer of asphalt.
