City stages integrated enforcement operation in Bellville<span style="line-height:1.6;">​The City’s enforcement agencies partnered with internal and external role-players to address municipal by-law infringements and illegal activities in Bellville, with an operation on 22 June 2016.</span><div><span style="line-height:1.6;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height:1.6;"></span><span style="line-height:1.6;">The role-players included the City’s Metro Police, K9 Unit, Law Enforcement, Traffic Services, and Anti-Land Invasion Unit, as well as the Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District and the South African Police Service.</span></div><div><span style="line-height:1.6;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height:1.6;">They conducted searches, high visibility patrols, and foot and vehicle patrols in and around the area. Law Enforcement officials were responsible for prosecuting suspects for committing any offence within the area of operation. They also worked to deter vagrancy and remove illegal structures.</span></div><div><span style="line-height:1.6;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height:1.6;">‘The aim of the integrated operation was to prevent drug-related incidents within the area. This includes preventing the movement of stolen property such as vehicles and illegal firearms.
