City park in Durbanville gets a faceliftBoland Park, a popular public open space in Vierlanden, Durbanville, has become an attractive park after an extensive upgrade that included installing an outdoor gym and footpaths.

The upgrade was made possible by ward allocation funding in the amount of R180 000. The funding for the upgrade was initiated by the ward councillor for Ward 105, Councillor Justin Basson, after extensive consultation with the subcouncil, members of the community and officials from the City of Cape Town’s Parks Department.

Outdoor gym installed

One of the new features, the outdoor gym, boasts a range of exercise equipment.
