City advises of water supply disruption in the City Foreshore area

<p><strong>The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate will be shutting off the water supply main to the City Foreshore area affecting DF Malan Street, Jan Smuts Street, Christiaan Barnard Street and FW De Klerk Boulevard area from 09:00 until 20:00 on Thursday, 15 September 2022. This will enable the contractor to safely do a connection of the newly installed pipeline and valve chamber to the existing water supply network.</strong> <br></p>

<p></p><div><br></div><div>This work forms part of the water supply infrastructure upgrade programme to maintain the water supply network in a sustainable manner.</div><div><br></div><div>Consumers in the area are kindly advised to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for essential use during this period and to also ensure that their taps are closed to avoid water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored.</div><div> </div><div>The City regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it upgrades and maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its consumers.</div><div> <br></div><div><strong>End</strong><br></div><div><br><br></div><p><br></p>
