City advises of emergency repairs on the water supply main affecting Pintail, West Street, Garden Village and Helderzicht in Somerset West

<p></p><div>The Water and Sanitation maintenance team will be repairing a severely leaking 350mm diameter water pipeline which will result in the disruption of the water supply to these areas. </div><div><br></div><div>The necessary precautions have been taken to try and limit the impact as far as possible. </div><div><br></div><div>Residents in these areas are kindly requested to store enough water upfront for domestic consumption during this period and ensure that their taps are closed to prevent water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.</div><div><br></div><div>Water tankers will be roaming through these areas to provide water for domestic consumption.</div><div><br></div><div>The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its customers.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div><strong>End</strong><br></div><p><br></p>
