City advises of critical Lwandle electricity work

The City advises residents in Lwandle in the Strand, of an electricity supply interruption for essential infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out on Thursday, 26 June 2025 from 06:00 to 18:00. The City apologises for any inconvenience.

It is important to note that interruption to supply will only impact the area on the map and only on the relevant date. The work will be carried out from 06:00 to 18:00, if all goes to plan.

Please note:
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work.

Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
