Belgium Consulate shows their commitment to Cape Town<p>​</p><span><p>Belgium’s decision to upgrade to a full Consulate General shows their commitment to Cape Town. We have taken the first steps to making a city-to-city sister agreement with the Belgian city of Antwerp. </p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img class="responsive" src="" alt="" style="width:775px;" /> </figure>​​</span><p>To further demonstrate our willingness to work with the European country, I will be conducting sector engagements with Belgian companies based here, one in the agri-processing sector, and the other in technology. </p><p>Belgium, an EU-member state, is an integral trade partner. This greater diplomatic presence of Consul General Bogaert and his team is an opportunity for the City of Cape Town and South Africa to firm up trade ties with our Belgian counterparts.
