Adding a major international volleyball tour event to the mix is a stamp on the City's capability and  status as a renowned global events destination. The Grand Parade, as a popular outdoor venue, is a fantastic choice for this event, having played host to a variety of events over the years and now with a faux beach is an extra spike to the facility's reputation,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security Alderman JP Smith.   <br></p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Centre/box%20card%20race%20.jpg" class="responsive" alt="" style="width:949px;" /> </figure></span><span><p>With the City Hall and Table Mountain as the backdrop for the games, Cape Town offers unique picturesque views for the crowd and those watching on broadcast.     </p><p> </p><p>Games take place daily this week between 09:00 and 21:00 on most days and then 13:00 to 17:00 for the Finals on Sunday.</p><p> </p><p>Tickets are available at <a href="https://ddec1-0-en-ctp.trendmicro.com/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=http://em2.medialist.co.za/ls/click?upn%3d-2BitWTk3RBNhrlenbYBuhbUofuI1yK0aZk-2BS-2BEatgHadxdBunJqkG2hFPp-2FQE9CCQh8vk_YHoeFa5KuxVLMreZe7v9JrFcLwKiRJPJa7iSNrZHeRA1-2BK2sxnFEL-2BhRFm2Kg76RI8vOFkhak5LKnAV32Bte8OIcrH00jxB6nsJeyZyLqKsdypwPkIDXq2ED-2B-2FODNQ1A4BoHXhjJUyfpDW6TEC0LSA8kQMX895OdIUq9a7mPDKcncs3WKIDpduf6tctcQXOI4V2R8sOzP-2FmhfWnzxqWxQC-2BZx3WgVr8dJ-2BBRPD5HhHw-3D&umid=0ea241b7-f6b6-43e4-9c56-9b33667b5007&auth=2ad3eefb43d42e4af99fdc07ba99e48e7318d45f-f8a85564ad73c83cb923ae37e619dc34cec832fe">www.beachprotourcapetown.com</a><br></p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Centre/Volleyball%201.jpg" class="responsive" alt="" style="width:858px;" /> </figure></span><p><strong>Red Bull Box Cart Race </strong></p><p> </p><p>On Sunday, 6 November 2022, less than  two kilometres from the Grand Parade, the bold, the daring and the bananas will brave the slopes of the Bo-Kaap with the wackiest non-motorised rides for the Red Bull Box Cart Race. </p><p> </p><p>On the day, 57 teams will have to navigate a 594 metre  steep road in one of Cape Town's most iconic and historic neighbourhoods. </p><p> </p><p>In addition to fun and wild excitement of the race, spectators can also look forward to a fan park with food trucks, hydration stations, seating areas and tons of entertainment. </p><p> </p><p>'The Bo-Kaap holds a special place in the history of this city as one of the oldest residential neighbourhoods in Cape Town.
