Africa Travel Week, in its 11th year, includes the World Travel Market and International Luxury Tourism Market Africa. <br></p> | <p></p><span><p>Africa Travel Week kicked off yesterday with the International Luxury Tourism Market Africa (ILTMA) Hosted Buyer's welcome function. </p><p>ILTM Africa will host over 140 industry professionals including exhibitors, hosted buyers and media from 7 - 9 April 2024 at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. <br></p>

The event organisers have laid out ambitious plans to further increase their figures and City of Cape Town aims to contribute to this expansion. We have demonstrated our commitment to this expansion by approving a three-year agreement to support Africa Travel Week until 2025. We are looking forward to welcoming all the visiting delegates to our city and sharing with them what Cape Town has to offer,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.<br></p>

Not only does it give delegates and exhibitors the opportunity to network and find interesting, new products, but it is a significant catalyser of business and job opportunities. The City is also excited to return to WTMA with a pavilion that will showcase the incredible campaigns that we have rolled out in key source markets and which helped to attract nearly 2,9 million international visitors to our shores last year. We will also host a series of thrilling engagements with industry organisations and media as part of our plans to drive increased traveller numbers in the coming months.
