Resolution detail

RESOLVED that it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from C99 ENTERTAINMENT was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:

Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA23080022, for the business C99 Entertainment, NOT BE SUPPORTED.

Subcouncil cannot support the application for the following reasons:

Premises have to apply for a Health and Entertainmente Business Licence.
Premises still under construction and City Emergency Services could not conduct their inspection.
Ward Councillor advised that too many objections were received regarding a night club in a residential building.
