The Subcouncil Manager, Goodman Lulamile Rorwana reported that campsite A, B and C would not form part of the upgrade, as this would delay the process.  He awaits feedback from the line official to confirm which processes will be undertaken.

          Good day Goodman

 

          This can be discussed and raised when we get to the Feasibility Framework as mentioned for all the resorts that I indicated.

         

          Please note that DE proclamation is not an option, as the area has been proclaimed under National Legislation

 

          However depending on what comes out from the framework and engagement study areas of proclaimed nature reserves have zonation           areas

         

          Meaning that areas of the nature reserve can have high human intensity use, low and medium intensity use and also a No intensity use

          And from that zonation developmental spots can be utilized for whatever purposes decided upon

 

          I am not available for the activity day, but am willing to meet the councilor at a later stage to explain this

Note that Blue Waters Resort and its associated infrastructure is to be transferred to Biodiversity Management for management by expected date July 2025

 

We Biodiversity Management will embark on a Feasible Marketing and Development Scoping Framework and Plan for all of the resorts and its associated infrastructure that is to transferred to Biodiversity Management Branch (Zandvlei Caravan Park, Blue Waters Resort, Macassar Resort, Koegelbaai Resort and Silverstroom Resort).

 

We do not have timeframes to give you

Anything regarding the Blue Waters resort and camps will fall within this Framework.
