RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy and the recommendation from Transport Planning & Network Management Department;

There are existing measures in the form of one raised intersection located at the intersection of Constitution Street and Vogelgezang Street and one speed hump located north-west.

However, there’s an increase of high number of students and general public pedestrian along this route, we do believe that there are ground to warrant additional measures in the form of raised pedestrian crossing in between the existing measures.

Therefore we do believe that circumstances exist to justify a potential for physical traffic calming measures in Constitution Street.
