Resolution detail

RESOLVED that it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from FOOD DELIVERY & BAR was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:

Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON and OFF Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA23080018, for the business FOOD DELIVERY & BAR, NOT BE SUPPORTED

The Subcouncil cannot support the application for the following reasons:

56 notice was issued for various reasons
Selling liquor without a valid liquor licence
Carrying on a business without a business licence (food)
Failure to display documents
Premises is displaying trading hours before having a liquor licence
Trading outside of times as stipulated on the events licence
Over-concentration of liquor outlets in the area causing social ills
Liquor outlets taking over walk-ways and placing pedestrians in danger as they have to walk in the street
