Subcouncil 20 RESOLVED that:
It be recommended that the lease of City premises, a portion of Erf 67530 Cape Town, situated at 7 Sherard Square, Wynberg shown hatched on the aerial photograph marked Annexure A, in extent approximately ±175ma, to Keith Dodgen, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions, that'

A below market rental of R5 000.00 per month. inclusive of rates and exclusive of VAT per month:

The rental will escalate at 6% per annum,

The lease will endure for a period of one year;

The property be used for residential purposes only;

Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;

The lessee is to ensure that the necessary land use permissions, if applicable, are in place for the duration of the lease period.
It is further resolved that:
A condition be added in annexure A that after the end of the one year contract, a financial assessment will be done to determine whether the current lessee will be able to afford the lease before entering into a new lease agreement.
