The Subcouncil Manager presented the Subcouncil 11 Business Plan to the members.

• Construction of a community Hall in Newrest
• Upgrading of Sewerage and Electricity infrastructure
• Refurbishment and re-instatement existing road infrastructure as per TDA SDBIP

Ward 47 Priorities Cllr Antonio van der Rheede
The Subcouncil Manager informed the members that the ward 47 priorities is based on CAP study and public participation, door to door of community needs.
CAPITAL PRIORITIES
• Upgrading of Play parks
• Upgrading of Existing Sport Facilities
• Refurbishment and Re-instatement of existing road infrastructure as per TDA SDBIP
• Housing Delivery: Social housing/Back yarders
OPERATIONAL PRIORITIES
• Job Creation: Street and canal Cleaning EPWP projects
• Addressing social issues: Women for change program
• Cleaning of Business Precincts Gatesville CBD/ Hanover Park CBD/ NY 111 Meat market/ Heideveld station
• ECD Support Programs.
1. The members of the Subcouncil unanimously agreed that the Subcouncil business plan will give strategic direction in tackling service delivery issues within the Subcouncil.
2. Subcouncil members also mentioned that at the Subcouncil activity day held on 16 October 2018 amongst many Line departments identified as key in accelerating service delivery within Subcouncil was Sport and Recreation as well City Parks are priority Line Departments and requested an urgent engagement to be facilitated by Subcouncil for intense discussion.
RESOLVED
The Subcouncil members APPROVED Subcouncil 11 Business Plan based on ward priorities in all wards of the Sub council.
The members of the Subcouncil recommended that the Subcouncil schedule an urgent strategic planning session with two priority Departments identified as Sport and Recreation and City Parks. .
