Comments
Ms Mpofu reported that second group of unemployed community members were trained on computer skills by the library staff in partnership with DigsConnect. Sub Council 13 Libraries (Brown’s Farm, Crossroads and Philippi East) debating competition was graced by the presence of Ald J.P. Smith. Brown’s Farm library enjoys a lot of support from the senior clubs and a third seniors club called Brown’s Farm Senior Club joined the library in May 2018. Non return of library material is a biggest challenge in all the libraries in Sub Council 13. Various platforms are being used to recover the long overdue library material including the collection that was done on 15 September 2018 at Watergate Mall and also library user was robbed off his laptop outside Brown’s Farm library.
