Resolution detail

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the lease of portion of City land being a portion of Erf 4-RE, Camps Bay, off Victoria Road (abutting the NSRI building) shown hatched and lettered ABCD on the sketch STC 3176 marked annexure A attached to the report, in extent approximately ±41 m², to Vodacom (Pty) Ltd, BE APPROVED subject to inter alia the following conditions, that: a)a City approved rental of R10 708 per month excluding VAT where applicable be payable; b)The lease will endure for a period of ten (10) years, plus an option to renew, subject at any time to six (6) months’ notice of termination; c)The rental will escalate to 8% per annum; d)The property be used for a telecommunication infrastructure purpose only; e)Subject to further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority; f)Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g)No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property; h)The applicant’s debt profile has been verified and they are not in arrears i)The ward councillor be kept in the loop as regards the aesthetics of the cell mast to be installed.
