Mr Madoda Hlakula was present for this item.
He highlighted the following concerns currently being experienced within the department:
•Officers are inadequately equipped to enter certain areas.
•The proposed location for the fire arms is Wynberg deems a future problem.
•Another Rent-a-cop to be employed.
•Shortage of vehicles
Ald Purchase thanked Mr Hlakula for his feedback and requested that he forwards a list of all issues identified to the Subcouncil. It was also agreed that these concerns be addressed in a separate meeting with the relevant Stakeholders.
RESOLVED that,
i)the above mentioned report be NOTED.
ii)A meeting be arranged with Senior Management to discuss challenges.
