It is recommended that the individual leases of portions of public place, being two equal half-sized portions of erf 8771 adjacent to erven 8679 and 8678, situated between Volsteedt Road and Broeksma Crescent, Strand shown lettered ABCD on plans ET 132 and ET 133 marked Annexure A and Annexure B respectively and attached to the item, in extent approximately 153 m² each, to the adjacent owners Deon Bezuidenhout Trust and EH & HJ van Zyl or their successors-in-title, BE APPROVED, subject to inter alia the following conditions:
(a) A tariff rental of R742,98 per portion per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R104,02 (in total R847) be payable;
(b) The lease will endure for a period of ten years with an option to renew for a further period of 10 years;
(c) The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council;
(d) The property be used for gardening and security purposes only;
(e) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the director: property management in terms of her delegated authority;
(f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;
(g) No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;
(h) The applicant will be responsible for the full cost of any new service or the upgrading of existing service connections.
