That It be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Club4Seven was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
SubCouncil 08 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA1704010, for the business Club4Seven BE NOT SUPPORTED:
The application is not supported, as SAPS have indicated that there was a murder, attempted murder and a pointing of a firearm in the vicinity of the premises applying for the liquor licence. Another liquor licence will contribute to an increase of petty crime in the area, as there is already an oversubscription of liquor outlets in the area and another one is not desirable. The granting of the licence will prejudice the residents of the close by residential area. A completed detailed approved fire protection plan must also be submitted.
