RECOMMENDED
That it BE NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from THE CKLAN was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
“SubCouncil 07 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA1703036, for the business THE CKLAN be CONDITIONALLY SUPPORTED.
Subject to :
A land use application for Councils Consent to permit a restaurant is required, only upon the approval of the Land use application can the liquor licence application be supported.
Further subject to:
1. The applicant must be in possession of a valid Liquor licence.
2. All areas must be adequately through or cross ventilated to the external air.
3. A hand wash-basin with running hot & cold water as well as sufficient soap and hand drying facilities to be provided.
4. Walls and floors must be smooth, without cracks or open joints and must be easily cleanable.
5. All refuse must be stored in such a manner so as not to create a health nuisance pending removal.
6. Adequate toilet facilities must be provided.
7.The premises must be made rodent proofed in accordance with the Government Rodent Proofing Regulations.
8. Gain services of an Accredited Pest Control Service Provider.
9. The building must be made accessible to disabled persons in accordance with the Requirements of Part S of Regulation 2378, Regulations under the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act (103/1977) read with SANS 10400-S: 2011, Edition 3, for the application of the National Building Regulations. This includes ramps/walkways and removal of obstructions in the path of travel of disabled persons.
10. The premises must comply with the Western Cape Noise Control Regulations P.N. 200/2013 by not creating a disturbing noise or a noise nuisance to surrounding property owners.
11. The premises must comply with the Tobacco Products Control Act. Act no 83 of 1993 as amended and all relating Regulations.
12.The Premises must comply with the City of Cape Town: Control of undertakings that sell liquor to the Public By- Law, 2013.”
