Mr Saul Jacobs represented the Property department. It was pointed out that on page 407 of the report, it reflects the incorrect ward councillor, Cllr Dave Bryant, which should be Cllr Shayne Ramsay. UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the lease of public street, being Erf 24 Camps Bay, Situated at Geneva Drive, Camps Bay, as shown hatched and lettered ABC curve DEF on the sketch STC 2758 attached to the report, marked Annexure A, in extent and approximately 85m2, to Geraldine Anne Williams and Tracey Anne Andrews, owners of Erf 828 Bantry Bay, or their successors in title, BE APPROVED subject to inter alia the following conditions, that: a) A tariff rental of R371,93 per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R52,07 (in total – R424) be payable; b) The lease will endure for a period of 10 years; c) The rental will escalate annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council; d) The property be used for gardening purposes only; e) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority; f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g) No compensation will be payable for any improvements made to the property. h) All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town must be settled.
