See item: 16 SUB 19/01/17: On the 16/01/17 this matter was deferred to allow the ward councilor the opportunity to conduct a site visit and to consult with the tenant of neighbouring properties and the Parks department. Cllr Stuart Diamond recused himself from the meeting for the consideration of this item. Mr Saul Jacobs represented the Property Department. Comments during discussion: • the property is being used as a sporting facility and not for gardening purposes. • lease should continue on a month-to-month basis while other option are investigated. • best utilization of space – to be leased to a sport organisation. After discussion, Subcouncil 16 agreed as follows: UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the proposed lease of City land being portion of Erf 1115 abutting Erf 1112 situated at 11 Ludlow Road, Vredehoek: Andreas Henri Diacon BE DEFERRED and that it be re-advertised to allow sport organisations the opportunity to submit lease applications.
