UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED
That it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from Afri-Wines was considered in terms of delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 07 recommends that the application for a Consumption OFF Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA1611011, for the business Afri-Wines BE CONDITIONALLY SUPPORTED.
Conditionally Supported.
1. In terms of the Municipal Planning By-Law 2015, the property concerned is currently zoned for General Industrial Zone 1(GI1). The sale of alcohol beverages to members of the public is not permitted as a primary right.
2. The application documentation states that there will be no walk-in trade, i.e. no direct sales at the premises, and the public will not visit the premises. As such, the application is supported.
