Resolution details
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for Rezoning of Erf 485 Firgrove from Single Residential Zone 1 (SR1) to Local Business Zone 2 (LB2), BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
b. The application for Consolidation of Erf 485 Firgrove (450m²) and Erf 552 Firgrove (1 564m²) to create one land unit measuring 2 014m² in extent, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
c. The application for Permanent Departure to provide 40 in lieu of 64 on-site parking bays, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
d. The application for approval of Site Development Plan No 002-SDP Firgrove Rev 4 dated 31/07/2019 and Landscape Plan No 1 Rev 6 dated 8/11/2019, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to add a new reason as follows:
5.1.11 The proposal will provide a wider range of housing opportunities to the community
