RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY

That the application for permanent departure to permit the relaxation of the 3.0m common boundary building line to 0.0m BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in accordance with Plan No K/3227/17 dated 17/5/17 attached as Annexure B,

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report.

1. It is considered that the proposal would not have an unacceptable adverse impact on the existing rights of the surrounding properties in terms overshadowing, noise and loss of natural light, due to the position of the proposed extension being directly to the east of the applicant’s property, where no windows face the objector’s property.
