UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for removal of conditions D(iv)(a), (b), (c) and (d) of Title Deed No T14776/2012 for Erf 1537, Somerset West, to permit the property to be developed for flats BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
b. The application for rezoning of Erf 1537, Somerset West, from Single Residential Zone I to General Residential Zone 2 BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in attached Annexure A.
c. The Site Development Plan for Erf 1537, Somerset West, to permit a development of 7 flats BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in attached Annexure A.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend as follows:
6.1.1 Removal of the title deed conditions will allow the development potential of the site to be realised in line with the City’s densification objectives.
Delete reason 6.2.5
NOTE: Amendment of the conditions of township establishment will be dealt with
separately under delegated authority.
