RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY
That the application for rezoning of a portion ±47m2 of Erf 71719 Cape Town at Plumstead, as shown on plan LUM/00/71719, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
Condition 2.15 is amended as follows:
2.15 The freestanding base telecommunication shall substantially be in accordance with the Site Development Plans as drawn by Warren Petterson Planning with drawing number ATSA475b, sheet numbers 2, 3 & 4, all Revision B and all dated 20 March 2018 and that the height of the cell mast be limited to 15m with the design integrated as a steeple as part of the adjacent church to the satisfaction of the Director: Development Management
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report except reason 7.1.6 which is deleted and reasons 7.1.1 and 7.1.7 which are amended as follows:
7.1.1 Given the amendments to the condition to limit height and design of the cell mast as part of the building the proposed freestanding base telecommunication station will not pose any proven negative impact on the surrounding population and environment.
7.1.7 Given the amendments to the condition to limit height and design of the cell mast as part of the building, the approval of this application does not impact significantly on any existing rights and does not lack desirability.
