UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
An administrative penalty of R 100 000.00 BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Erf 275 Clifton in accordance with plans indicated as LUM/02/275 (1-3).
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend the reasons as follows:
Delete reason 4.
Add:
The owner must take responsibility for previous longstanding contraventions and the argument about ‘ignorance’ is rejected.
