UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application in terms of Section 42(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 for a consent use in order to permit the erection of a freestanding cellular communication base station comprising of a 25m Monopole type mast, 3 x 3 sector antennas attached to the mast, Microwave dishes attached to the mast, 3 x Equipment containers, and A 2.4m high palisade fence on Erf 1846 Schaapkraal, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
b. The application in terms of Section 42(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 for permanent departures to permit the proposed freestanding cellular communication base station setback 0m in lieu of 5.0m from the northern common boundary and setback of 0.0m in lieu of 5.0m from Sheigh Yusuf Road, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.
