UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for rezoning in terms of Section 42(a) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 of erf 8756, Eerste River from limited use zone to general residential subzone GR2 to allow for flats as depicted on Plan No. 3953 SDP/M/5 Revision 7, dated December 2017, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)iii of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to conditions in the attached Annexure A.
b. The application for departures in terms of Section 42(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 on erf 8756, Eerste River as set out in Annexure A, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)i of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
c. The application for approval of a site development plan in terms of Section 42(t) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 on erf 8756, Eerste River, to allow for residential as depicted on Plan No. 3953 SDP/M/5 Revision 7, dated December 2017, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)iii of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to conditions contained in Annexure A.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.
Amend conditions:
2.3 Prior to building plan approval a detailed Landscaping Plan prepared by a registered landscape architect / technician must be submitted to the Director: Development Management for approval. Such Landscaping Plan is to indicate, inter alia, all hard landscaping, the treatment of embankments, the location of proposed trees and vegetation, and take into consideration the comments made by the Department of Parks & Recreation.
