UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
The application for a temporary land use departure in terms of Section 42(c) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in order to permit a liquor shop from a portion of Erf 33665, 3 Twickenham Crescent, Beacon Valley, Mitchells Plain BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend 7.2 as follows:
The proposed use is not compatible with surrounding residential land uses and is considered inappropriate business creep.
