RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY
a. That the application for rezoning of erf 4885, Kuilsrivier, from Single Residential 1 to General Business 2, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015, in accordance with the submitted site layout plan, dated 30 November 2016.
b. That the application for the City’s approval of the provision of parking bays closer than 10m from the street boundary in respect of erf 4885, Kuilsrivier, BE APPROVED in term of Section 98(b) of the Cape Town Municipal Planning By-law, 2015, in accordance with the submitted site layout plan, dated 30 November 2016.
c. That the above approvals are subject to the conditions attached as annexure A.
APPLICATIONS GRANTED IN TERMS OF SECTION 98 (b) OF THE BYLAW
1.1 to be amended as follows:
1.1 Rezoning of the property from Single Residential Zone 1 to General Business Zone 2 limited to the use of the property as a carwash.
An additional condition was added and reads as follows:
2.15 That the applicant demonstrate an appropriate water use management regime to the satisfaction of the Director: Development Management.
The MPTNE Panel wanted it noted;
That the relevant Council Departments explore the possibility of closing Saansweld Road to through traffic between the applicant’s property and the residential property to the immediate south west.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report.
