RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:
a. That the permanent departure on Erf 422, 55 Watt Street, Gordon’s Bay, for the relaxation of the 3,5m street building line on Watt Street to 0m to allow a new store room and stairwell on ‘Ground Floor’ level, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto;;
b. That the permanent departure on Erf 422, 55 Watt Street, Gordon’s Bay, for the relaxation of the 3,5m street building line on Watt Street to ±2,49m to allow a new stairwell on ‘First Floor’ level, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto;
c. That the permanent departure on Erf 422, 55 Watt Street, Gordon’s Bay, for the relaxation of the 3,5m street building line on Watt Street to ±2,49m to allow a new stairwell on ‘Second Floor’ level, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto;
d. That the permanent departure on Erf 422, 55 Watt Street, Gordon’s Bay, for the relaxation of the 8m height limit, measured from base level to wall plate, to 8,16m, to allow for the abovementioned additions, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto;
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planners’ report.
