UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED

a. That the application for rezoning from Single Residential (SR1) to General Residential (GR2) zone in respect of Erf 40329, Bellville, to allow for the construction of two blocks of residential flats containing a total of 30 residential units BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in accordance with Site Layout Plan attached as Annexure B, subject to conditions as stipulated in Annexure A.

b. That the application for permanent departures in respect of Erf 40329, Bellville, involving the relaxation of the 6.12 m common boundary building line to 5.35 m, to allow for a 3-storey block of flats BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in accordance with Site Plan attached as Annexure B, subject to conditions as stipulated in Annexure A.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planners’ report.
