UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
The application for departures, as set out in Annexure A, for Remainder Erf 7106 Fish Hoek, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
1. The proposal will not have a negative impact on the character of the area.
2. The proposal will not have a significant negative impact on the property of the objector in terms of light and his garden
3. The proposal fits in with the existing architectural style of the existing building.
4. The garage extension will be in line with the existing garage and will not result in the building being any closer to the street compared to the existing situation.
5. The garage will be setback a significant distance from the carriageway of Echo Road.
6. The length of the garage on the boundary is not long in relation to the overall length of the boundary and it is also located at the road end of the property thereby not impacting on the properties enjoyment of the sea view
7. The proposal is desirable.
8. The proposal is consistent with the Municipal Spatial Development Framework or the Southern District Plan.
