Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:

a. The application for a consent use on Erf 1070, Kleinvlei IS REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015 in accordance with plan: ref no ETO-21-1355: sheet 3 of 8 and sheet 7 of 8.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

1. The desirability criteria in Section 99(1) have not been complied with
2. The establishment of the proposed mast will result in the proliferation of cell masts in the surrounding area, which will have a negative visual impact on the surrounding residential area and accordingly degrade the residential character.
3. The actual service network in the surrounding area was not taken into consideration with the proposal of the subject property, which therefore negates the need for the subject mast.
