Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:

a. The departure applied for from Item 22(f)(ii) of the Development Management Scheme in respect of the Erf 214, 30 Joubert, Green Point and as referred to in the Annexure A, IS APPROVED in terms of Section 98 of the Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.

REASONS FOR DECISION

1. The minimum threshold requirements of the MBPL are complied with.
2. The proposal are a local neighborhood issue and at a scale different to the City Spatial Development Framework. Therefore, it is not inconsistent with this Policy.
3. There will be no negative impact on the streetscape.
4. Compliance with the 1.5m street building line would not render improvement to the streetscape.
5. The 0.0m building line is in keeping with the prevailing street scene.
