UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED

1 That the application for temporary land use departure on Erf 118585, Bonteheuwel, to utilise a portion of the property for business purposes in order to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages (off sale -consumption) BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (B) of the City of Cape Town Municipality Planning By-law, in accordance with plan no Plan No 05/08/2015DKM dated August.15, subject to the conditions contained in the attached annexure A.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

1. The proposed development would be of an appropriate scale that would not impact on the land use character of the area, given that the facility will not be visible from the abutting street.
2. The dominant use of the property will remain single residential and times of operation of liquor store will be limited.
3. As a result of the small scale, the proposal is considered unlikely to have any significant adverse impact on the surroundings in terms of noise or traffic generation.
