Resolution detail

RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy and the recommendation from Transport Planning & Network Management Department;

a)    Dundonald Street & Mountain Road, Woodstock is a Class 3 Mobility
        Road) Dundonald Street & Mountain Road, Woodstock is a Class 3 Mobility
        Road, as per the traffic calming policy, physical traffic calming measures
        cannot be implemented on Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 roads because
        the primary function of these roads is mobility.
 
   b) Therefore, we do not believe that circumstances exist to justify the
       implementation of traffic remedial measures along Dundonald Street &
       Mountain Road.
 
   c) Should there be an appeal, the appeal of this request should be
       accompanied by a strong evidence and motivation in line with Section 7(4), as
       per the traffic calming policy, physical traffic calming measures
       cannot be implemented on Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 roads because
       the primary function of these roads is mobility.
 
   d) Therefore, we do not believe that circumstances exist to justify the
        implementation of traffic remedial measures along Dundonald Street &
        Mountain Road.
 
   e)   Should there be an appeal, the appeal of this request should be
         accompanied by a strong evidence and motivation in line with Section 7(4)
